Technology Department Information

Technology and Device Assistance:

 

Technology assistance will be available to students, families and staff members, five days a week from 8 am to 4 pm each day.  


If a student or parent needs assistance in obtaining their students username and password to access their device and google drive an email should be sent to [email protected]


If a student or parent has an issue or problem with their chromebook or needs assistance in accessing G Suite for Education an email should be sent to [email protected] and the student’s homeroom teacher.


If a student has lost their device they should send an email to [email protected] and copy [email protected]


If a parent has questions about the 1:1 device program insurance or if they would like to submit a form an email should be sent to [email protected]


If a teacher has an issue with a device, G Suite for Education or any other technology issues they should enter a ticket in Schooldude.  Schooldude will be monitored five days a week by District technologists and the District’s Managed Service Provider.  If it is an urgent issue the staff member should enter a ticket and email [email protected] and copy [email protected] and [email protected]

Chromebook Support

If you can not hear anything from your device.

  1. Click on the clock on the computer.
  2. Click on the slide bar next to the sound and make sure it is turned all the way up.
  3. If you are using headphones, click on the image of the headphones and make sure they are selected as the output.

If the students/staff can not hear you.

  1. Click on the clock on the computer.
  2. Select the arrow next to the sound bar.
  3. Make sure the microphone bar is not all the way up.  It should be about 50% of the way.  
  4. Make sure the correct microphone is selected.

If this still continues to be a problem, open Zoom on your Chromebook.

Click on the arrow next to the microphone (mute) button.  
  1. Click on Audio Settings 
  2. Click on the bottom box that says, "Automatically Adjust the Microphone Volume."
  3. Restart the computer.

Clearing the Cache can also help with this problem.

Open Chrome.

Go to the top three button and then select "More Tools"

Then select Clear Browsing Data.

Select the Advanced Tab 

Cached Images and files should be selected.

Click on Clear data.

Restart the device



If you continue to have difficulty, you may need to reset your Chromebook. Email [email protected] for directions for this process. 

If you can not sign into your account, you may need to shut down and restart your computer.
